I created an island in blender. It is a low poly island which include sea, island and some coconut tree. However, when I going to make this island colorful, there are some problem such as I always paint the island with the sea color. It couldn't divide into two parts. Another problem is I couldn't paint the tree. It is so weird. For the next step, I'm going to paint the island and upload this island into HIFI.

The touches are coming today!
This afternoon, I set up the touches on the computer and try to use them in HIFI. It's really convenience for us to move avatars' hands. There are some scripts which have to use touches to complete. Such as whiteboard and finger print. It also make the building easier in HIFI. The touches quite like our hands and make the work easier.
However, the VR in HIFI make us so dizzy and do not have any way to solve this problem.

The teleport is not a problem any more!!!
1st Step: Go to a place which you would like to teleport. Click the Navigate on the top of the screen and choose the last one "Copy Path to Clipboard".
2nd Step: Open the setting and click on the "Places/Paths". Then in the Paths form, create a new item, give it a name and paste the code into the Viewpoint. Click on Save and Restart.
3rd Step: Go to another place and create a box. In the user data, type the name which you create in the setting before.
4th Step: Select the Collisionless and Ignore inverse kinematics in Behavior. Copy the "atp:/portal.js"in Script URL. You also could change the color of the box.
Then, you can get in this box and enjoy your teleport trip.

I'm trying to make a portal to help people transport from a place to another place. The good news is the portal is work well. It is just need to create a cube and change the user data as a place name in entity properties. This part is really easy. However, the hardest thing is how to make sure that you will teleport in an exactly position. I tried to find the way, but only found that would be in the settings. I checked but it need the code which looks like a position code. I didn't found out the exactly position code yet so this is the next step I will work on.

Today, I discuss the design of the space which we are going to build. Here is the draft about our ideas.
This space includes four small lands and three main lands.
This first small land is more like a reception which include the introduction about this space, the map and teleport points. The second small land include the way of designer's and tutor's email.address and contact number. The third small land is a place which could collect feedback from users about the space design and courses. The fourth small land is a big lecture room which people should have access to get in.
The first main land is study space which include indoor classroom and opening rooms. In this land, students could take their class by different interests. The second space is self learning space. It include some note cards, recordings, videos, quiz and small games which could help students learning by themselves and do some practices. The third main land is a play ground for relax. The scenery there is beautiful and I design it will have beach, sunshine and sea. People could chat there or share their experience. This land also include some VR games such as sand box games or bowling.
Each land could use the teleport point, three main lands and first small land will have the bridge to connect to each other. The other small lands only could teleport in. If teleport does not work, I will combine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd small land in one land and put the lecture room into first main land. Each land will connect by the birdge.

Today, I changed a sky box which is really cool. There are lots of star in the sky and it could change the time into day and night. I also learned how to use the EDIT option to make changes in HIFI. Furthermore, I also give the permission to Simona which allowed her create new entities.
For the last week question, 'How to add a note card like SL', I can add the text as a blackboard in EDIT. Then click on the entity properties. Both of the content and color of text and background could be changed at the end of the page.
We also have some new questions should discuss.
1. What are you going to "teach"?
2. What are learning situation are you going to create?
3. How will the affordances of VR/HF influence the learning/teaching situation?
4. Will the teaching situation/lesson involve only the student user/or the student user and a teacher/learning facilitator?
5. How might VR story world/narrative "theory" impact on what you do?Distance/movement, etc.
I will write the result into blogger after we have discuss.

These days I still worked on upload stuffs with textures. It works! Thanks god. It just export the models from the Blender with choice shows as below.
Also, when import the '.fbx' into HiFi, it was need to upload both the models and texture. Mentioned, the texture should be the copy one.
This is the model.
This is the texture folder of the copy one.
This is the texture.
Last step is just add the model into the world.
Then, the model with texture will show like this!
